Chinese Universities Ban Bras To Crack Down On Cheating In Exams

Students will have to go through a metal detector before the university entrance exams, known as Gaokao, as authorities crack down on the use of hidden gadgets like wireless listening devices.Any items of clothing containing metal – including bras with under wires or metal clasps – will set off the detector causing students to be stopped from entering the test.
Students with pacemakers or other metal implants in their body, including fillings, will have to provide a certificate from a hospital.
Those who fail a second test will not be able to sit the competitive exam, which will be sat by around 9million students today and tomorrow – and is seen as a make-or-break in terms of getting ahead.

Eight-month-old Xiao Bao is lucky to be alive after he was stabbed 90 times by his mother, mostly in the face, for biting her while she was breastfeeding him. He needed more than 100 stitches after the incident in Xuzhou, eastern China's Jiangsu Province. The infant lives with his mother and two uncles, who make a living recycling rubbish. It was one of the uncles who discovered Xiao Bao lying in a pool of blood in the yard of their home and rushed him to hospital.

Al-Mustapha discharged and acquitted by Lagos Court of Appeal

The former Chief Security Officer to late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, was today discharged and acquitted by the Court of Appeal in Lagos for the murder of Kudirat Abiola.

The judgment overturns that of the Lagos High Court which convicted and sentenced the retired Major in January 2012 and sentenced him to death by hanging. The Court of Appeal, in their ruling, said there was not enough evidence to incriminate Al-Mustapha in the murder of Late Mrs Abiola.

Chief  MKO Abiola's wife was shot dead on June 4, 1996, on what was alleged to be the orders of Al-Mustapha.
